Extreme skating pioneer and face of many a skating video game, Tony Hawk is affected by this pandemic too. Toward the start of this year, he stated in an interview with CNBC that he’s been losing business. With less skaters out and about, there’s less people buying their gear from Birdhouse, after all. But all this was back in the end of April. October is a wholly different beast, and while the pandemic’s second wave is still proving to be one of 2020’s strongest disappointments, people the world over are lessening restrictions to at least some extent. Even though things are still bad, they’re a far cry from the abolute bomb that was the first lot of quarantining. So with Covid causing Tony to cancel his Australian tour at the start of the year, things might be looking up for us yet, all things considered!
With Coronavirus restrictions lessening across Australia, hopefully Tony Hawk will be able to come steeze his way into Australian airports, so long as America eventually follows suit with Australia. Gotta get the virus under control first and foremost of course, but we can’t help but look forward to seeing this classic icon once again! When we think about him, we think about 90s throwbacks and the high octane music that comes with them! While these hits from our partners Blue Pie and DJ Central aren’t literally from the 90s, throwbacks to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air from the likes of Bigg Cixx sure put us in mind of it!

Whichever musical aesthetic floats your boat, there are some classic sports icons that never get old, and the same is true for skating, especially when it comes to the one and only 900 master Tony Hawk.
