The restrictions are lessening! Could street skaters and casual players have their big break soon?

Across Australia, COVID-19 restrictions are lessening, and cases are dropping! All going well, the state borders might have reason to close, and COVID might be on the decline! We’re all hoping that there won’t be a third wave, or if there is one, that it’s manageable. Health workers are still putting their lives on the line working against this virus, and as such it’s important that we all support them by practicing safe socialisation and social distancing. To that end, it’s with hesitant enthusiasm that we say: get out there, you street sports fans, and live it up… responsibly, of course.

With these restrictions lessening, so long as we all take the proper precautions, this is the perfect time to hit the pavement again with things like street skating and shooting hoops! Whether you’re trying to steeze it up or simply mess around with your mates, the sun is shining, summer is approaching, and slowly the corona virus menace is receding… hopefully this time, for good.

Here at Gravity Stars, we like to cover extreme sports, but sometimes it pays to get to the grassroots of physical activity and sports, that being casual play with friends. Every master athlete started out doing that, after all. So get out there and do your thing, everyone! Stay safe and get active while you can.

While the big sporting events are typically what we report here, the small scale stuff is also important, equally so, but in a different way. So blast your favourite tunes and get back out there, get in contact with what really makes sports like skating and street ball important to you, as a casual player!
